A work of physical theatre inspired by the qualities of Auslan and targeted at a deaf and hearing audience.

Eavesdrop is the development of a new physical performance work inspired by the movement and gesture of Australian Sign Language. An almost fairy-tale about innocence, discovery and what happens when you break a promise, told through movement, image, gesture and word.
This work is accessible for audiences with a hearing impairment, and feedback sessions following the show will be Auslan-interpreted. Eavesdrop is working towards further collaboration with interested members of the hearing impaired and Auslan-speaking community.
The showing will take place at Cecil Street Studio’s December 10 & 11, 2010
